Hospitals face
unique challenges in the post-9/11 world. Emergency departments
are at risk for contamination from patients and victims contaminated
in mass casualty incidents stemming from industrial accidents as
well as the terrorist attack. This program is designed to help hospital
personnel recognize contaminated patients, take appropriate isolation
precautions, consult the appropriate research materials to determine
the nature of the hazard, and determine and apply the appropriate
decontamination procedures. Topics:
